Do you know......how to pronounce Bdellium?

I first discovered Bdellium Tools at IMATS NY this year. Their soft, eco friendly, high quality, and colorful brushes really caught my attention, as did the name. Well, it turns out that I've been saying it wrong all this time!



On August 8th, a post from the Bdellium Tools Facebook page sought to inform their fans of the common mispronunciation. They provided a link to a post entitled "HOW DO YOU SAY BDELLIUM?" on their Wordpress blog, which states:

"It is pronounced [del-ee-uhm]. The ”b” in “bdellium” is actually silent. "

Who knew? I certainly didn't. I've heard many a YouTube guru pronounce the "b", myself included, but Bdellium takes this with a light heart and doesn't judge those who have slipped up.
